New Partnership to Promote Education, Culture and Community
Today, Hanchey Bamboo Resort and Buddhism for Social Development Action (BSDA) proudly signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Punleu Vichea International School (PIS), deepening our shared commitment to education, sustainability, and community impact in Kampong Cham.
The signing ceremony took place on a meaningful day in the Khmer lunar calendar—Wednesday the 10th waxing moon of the month of Pous—bringing together educators, community leaders, and our resort team.
A Shared Vision for Education and Opportunity
This agreement marks the beginning of a new partnership with three clear goals:
Creating learning experiences beyond the classroom
Hanchey Bamboo Resort will serve as a peaceful, cultural space for PIS students to explore hospitality, environmental sustainability, and Khmer heritage through educational visits and interactive experiences.Supporting families and educators
As part of the agreement, special offers and discounts will be available for PIS staff and parents, encouraging more families to discover the natural beauty and values behind our eco-social model.Opening doors to vocational learning
We will provide opportunities for students and families to connect with the work of BSDA and learn how Hanchey Bamboo Resort is creating real training and career pathways for Cambodian youth in hospitality, food service, and tourism.
Building Bridges Between Schools, Social Enterprises, and Sustainable Tourism
This partnership reflects a growing movement in Cambodia—where education, travel, and social impact come together. We are honoured to work alongside PIS, a school committed to developing global citizens with a strong sense of local pride and responsibility.
The MoU also strengthens the mission of BSDA, our parent NGO, to empower youth through vocational training, while continuing to preserve Khmer traditions and promote sustainable development.
We look forward to welcoming the PIS community to our resort in the year ahead—not just as guests, but as partners in learning and changemaking.
Stay tuned for upcoming student visits and activities as we continue to support our local community.
