Retreat Services & Experiences
-

Start with a Warm Welcome
All retreat groups are greeted with tea and a gentle introduction from our team. For those who wish, we can arrange a short blessing with local monks at the Lotus Hall—this is a traditional Khmer way to begin a meaningful gathering.
This quiet opening moment helps your group arrive fully, settle their breath, and step into the retreat with presence. -

Apsara Dance Performance
Through our partnership with BSDA, we can arrange a youth Apsara dance performance to welcome your guests or open your retreat. This supports the dancers’ training and gives your group an authentic cultural introduction.
It’s a beautiful way to begin with intention, honouring Khmer tradition and the spirit of shared practice. -

On-Site Logistical Support
Our team is always available on site to assist with practical needs throughout your retreat. Whether it’s coordinating meal times, preparing spaces, guiding guests to sessions, or helping adjust the day’s flow, we stay close by to support a smooth experience.
This steady presence allows facilitators to focus fully on teaching while we quietly hold the logistical foundation beneath the retreat. -

Local Village & Nature Visits
Retreat hosts can add guided activities such as visits to local temples, pagodas and cultural sites; walking or cycle tours through nearby villages; or trips to the islands along the Mekong. These experiences offer guests a deeper connection to the area around Hanchey.
They gently expand the retreat beyond the shala, inviting guests to connect with the land, people and rhythm of Steung Trang.
