Our Mission
At Hanchey Bamboo Resort, our mission is to train and educate disadvantaged youth from Smile School, based in Kampong Cham, to develop hospitality skills though experiential, work-based training.
We aim to generate revenue to support our ongoing community projects, operated through our parent NGO, BSDA, creating a positive impact for all involved.

Building Futures Through Hospitality
We believe that equipping our team with real-world hospitality skills is just as important as the guest experience itself. Behind the scenes, young trainees from BSDA enjoy immersive work-stations at Hanchey Bamboo Resort, rotating between our Lotus Shala, Bamboo Restaurant and guest-services areas. They learn welcome rituals, guest flow, cultural awareness, and the art of mindful service—so when you arrive, the care feels natural and genuine.
By weaving this training into the rhythms of the resort—morning checks, sunset yoga setup, guest transfers to the Mekong—we reinforce a purpose-driven work culture where every action supports growth. Our staff don’t just fill roles, they graduate from experience: each assignment becomes a step toward confidence, focus and longer-term opportunity in Cambodia’s hospitality sector.
